CLARK — The Clark Public Library will offer a variety of free programs for children during the winter break in late December.

A knight in shining armor is coming to the library on Friday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. Dive right into a fun medieval fairy tale with Sir Kenneth, the storytelling knight. This one-of-a-kind educational program will ignite children’s creativity and imaginations.

Mixed in throughout the energetic and interactive storytelling are several engaging, hands-on opportunities for children to uncover amazing facts about knights. They will also get to try on real pieces of armor, test out a jousting helmet, ask questions, hold a sword, pose with the knight for pictures and more. Kids in grades kindergarten through 5 and their parents will all enjoy this program. Registration is required.

The library will also offer other programs including a movie, craft, Lego Club and movement program for young children.

“School breaks are a terrific time for families to visit the Library,” says Children’s Librarian Eileen Smith. “Each year we try to offer new and different programs that both entertain and educate. It’s exciting to see that in addition to the books and media that we offer, people are now looking to Library for a broader community experience including quality performances and activities.”

Detailed information about Winter Break programs and the many other activities offered by the library may be found on the online calendar at www.clarklibrary.org or by calling the library at 732-388-5999.
