Report: Murder Suspect Hospitalized After Swallowing Razor Blades

ELIZABETH – Andrew Kerton, who is charged with killing one man and stabbing another, was taken to Trinitas Regional Medical Center after swallowing four razor blades while in jail, according to a Star-Ledger report.

Kerton’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the report.

The 34-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested Nov. 18 and has been charged with the murder of John Forte, 67, in an apartment house on Morris Avenue.  Kerton is also charged with stabbing Walter Allen, 56, at the same apartment house.

All criminal suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
