Derector Named Edgar Middle School Spelling Champ

METUCHEN — Eighth grade student Evan Derector was crowned as the Edgar Middle School School Champion in the National Geographic Bee. The championship round took place on Thursday, Dec. 12, with three eighth grade finalists competing for the school title. The other finalists were Kassia Antin and Jack Bradley. Derector will take a state test in order to determine eligibility for the state competition in the spring.
