RAHWAY — On Tuesday, Dec. 3, teachers at Franklin Elementary School in Rahway volunteered to stay after school hours to participate in a CPR class taught by Jamie Wronski, a certified CPR trainer and physical education teacher at Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark. The participants earned their CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications, which will be valid for two years.
Many of the teachers in the school have their certification and are part of the AED team thanks to the school nurse Barbara Maher, who tries to coordinate a class like this once a year so that the teachers can keep their certifications up to date. (Photos courtesy of Franklin School)
