EDISON – State Police say that a Hillsborough woman was drunk when her vehicle crashed into two trucks parked on the side of Interstate 287 in April, starting a chain-reaction collision that resulted in her death as well as the death of another man who was trying to help her, according to an NJ.com report.

Heather Manco, the wife of a Piscataway police officer, had a blood-alcohol level well above the legal limit when the collision occurred, according to toxicology reports.

Manco’s car flipped, and the driver of one of the parked trucks, Owen Flynn, got out to help her. Both Manco, 37, and Flynn, 62, were killed when a third tractor-trailer crashed into Manco’s car.
