ELIZABETH — Trinitas Health Foundation has announced it is participating in GivingTuesday. As a response to the post-Thanksgiving sales spectacles that are Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Trinitas is participating in a new holiday tradition – GivingTuesday on Dec. 3.
It may seem a little surprising, but no one before designated a specific day to help launch the holiday charitable giving season until last year. “This is the perfect time of year to stop and think about what’s most important,” says Nadine Brechner, Vice President, Chief Development Officer of Trinitas Health Foundation. “If you have your health, you have everything. Last year most participating nonprofits were national organizations and this year local and regional groups are participating in this one day event to encourage their community members to support causes which are dear to them.
“More than 20,000 children visited Trinitas Regional Medical Center, their community hospital, to seek care this past year and these numbers only continue to grow. Your gift will magically double thanks to Foundation trustees Edward Dee, Grant Hobson, Gary Horan, Thomas Kachelriess, Kevin McCloskey, Jan Margolis and Paul Napoli who will match gifts up to $7,000.”
To make a donation, call Natalie or Nadine at 908-994-8249, email firstname.lastname@example.org or mail your gift to Trinitas Health Foundation, PO Box 259, Elizabeth, NJ 07207. All dollars raised will benefit Trinitas’ pediatric patients.
