[PHOTO] Perth Amboy Students Make Christmas Cards For Homebound Seniors

PERTH AMBOY — As part of a continuing series of Community Service Projects by Perth Amboy Catholic School, students made “Merry Christmas” cards to be given out by New York City Meals on Wheels to the program’s homebound elderly clients. These handmade items are personal and precious to the seniors receiving their Christmas dinner from New York City Meals on Wheels. The students wanted the seniors to know that someone cares about them and they are not forgotten. The project was coordinated by parent Maria Arcelay and art teacher Rose Pennyfeather. Students pictured above, from left to right, are Kenny Ortiz, Katherine Zevallos, Melissa Gonzalez, Emmanuel De Jesus and Lizbeth Nunez.
