Rahway Police Hold Holiday Food Drive

RAHWAY –The Rahway Police Department and Rahway PBA Local 31 are conducting a Holiday Food Drive from Dec. 2-13. All donations of non-perishable food items will benefit the Rahway Food for Friends.

Some of the most needed items include oatmeal, canned soup (broth based), peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, cereal, dry pasta, baby food, and diapers. Hygiene items such as shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, socks, and deodorant are also greatly appreciated.

Items can be dropped off at the Rahway Police Community Center, 52 E. Cherry Street, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or at the Rahway Police Department (main entrance) all other times. New or gently used coats will also be accepted at the E. Cherry Street location only, and new, unwrapped toys are being collected as well.
