Edison To Hold Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Dec. 5

christmas-tree-200x200EDISON – The Edison Recreation Department announces the lighting of the township’s Christmas Tree on Thursday, Dec. 5. The celebration will begin at 6:45 p.m. sharp, at the Stelton Community Center, 328 Plainfield Avenue, Edison.

This annual family event is also one of Edison’s most popular. The outside festivities will begin at 6:45 p.m., with the Thomas Jefferson Middle School Chorus and The Stelton Baptist Church Teen Choir, the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the tree. Back inside, following the tree lighting, the Thomas Jefferson Middle School Orchestra and Chorus will entertain along with dancers from “Ms. Yvonne’s School of Dance”. Free holiday refreshments will be available throughout the evening as well as a children’s craft table.

Everyone is invited, following the tree lighting, to bring their cameras and visit with Santa. For additional information, call Edison Recreation at 732-248-7309.
