CLARK — In honor of Thanksgiving, students in Denise Picciano’s eighth grade math class at Kumpf School in Clark created their own mathematical turkeys.

Students recalled and reviewed previous topics learned so far this school year. Each of these topics represented a different feather on their math turkeys. Students had to create their own math problems according to each of these topics. Then, they had to write and solve these problems on the corresponding feathers.

After constructing, coloring, and decorating their turkeys, the students’ mathematical artwork now hangs in the Kumpf hallways for all to enjoy during the holiday season.
