ROSELLE — The United Interfaith Council will hold their annual Thanksgiving Eve Service at the Heard AME Church on 310 E.8th Avenue, Roselle, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27. There will be several pastors from various churches taking part in the service and Rev. Karen Chamis from First Presbyterian Church will be the guest speaker. Also the choir members will consist of several members from various churches.
The United Interfaith Council comprises seven churches: Second Baptist Church, United Methodist Church of Roselle Park, Heard AME Church, Roman Catholic St. Joseph the Carpenter, First Presbyterian Church, Roselle Methodist Church, and Morning Star Community Christian Center of Linden.
The offering will consist of any non-perishable food, such as canned foods, soups, peanut butter, cranberry sauce, cereals, etc. and also a monetary offering will be accepted. The food will go to help the needy and less fortunate families in our local area, so they can celebrate a blessed and happy Thanksgiving Day with their loved ones. Everyone is welcome to come.
