CRANFORD – The Office of Continuing Education at Union County College is offering courses on ServSafe and Fundamentals of Federal Taxation.
The Federal Taxation course will help students to gain a solid understanding of federal taxes including income, deductions and credits. Participants will learn about wills, estates, probate, and nursing home information. The course will cover strategies for protecting personal assets from higher taxes on estates as well. The course will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 26 to Dec. 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. The cost of the course is $249 and it will be held at the college’s Cranford campus, located at 1033 Springfield Ave.
The ServSafe course will cover the following topics: Basic Food and Safety Concepts, Protection against Foodborne Illness Outbreaks, Reduction in Liability Risks, and Minimization of Insurance Costs. The course will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of the course is $99 and it will be held at the college’s Elizabeth campus, located at 40 West Jersey Street.
