Linden Airport Receives Grants For Runway Repair

LINDEN – Linden Airport will receive state and federal funding for a project to repair runway cracks, state officials announced Tuesday.

The project, which has a projected cost of $148,850, will receive a $7,442.50 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Multimodal Grants and Programs. This grant represent 5 percent of the total cost of the project, with the airport owners providing 5 percent and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) providing 90 percent, in this case, $133,965.
