LINDEN — School No. 4 held a “Tour of Italy” to celebrate the Linden’s World Language Program. The event focused on the connection between the school and home. It was designed to be an enjoyable way for students, parents and community members to receive a hands-on experience with the World Language Program.
Those that participated in the event went on a “Tour of Italy” to develop an understanding of the Italian culture, history and language. At each destination within the school, guests were given a tour of the “city” they were visiting by one of the district’s Italian teachers. They learned interesting facts, saw popular sites, and received a taste of Italy at each stop. Guests were given a passport as they entered the school and got a stamp at each of the destinations they visited throughout the evening. The cities included Rome, Florence, Sicily, Naples and Venice. Other destinations were Gelato, Bocce Ball, Pasta Making, Tarantella, and a Pizzelle making station.
