CLARK — All seniors and juniors at Arthur L Johnson High School in Clark met with Bridget Schindo, a representative from The Blood Center of New Jersey on Monday, Nov. 11. During all physical education classes on Thursday, Nov. 14, students 16 and up offered to donate blood from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Schindo showed a DVD about the requirements to give blood. If you are 16 you need a written parental signature. You must be 120 lbs. and if you got a tattoo in the last six months, it must be from a licensed tattoo shop in order to give blood. One lucky New Jersey blood donor recipient will receive two tickets to the 2014 Superbowl. The blood drive took place in the upper gym located at ALJ and had a great turn out this year. The next blood drive will be this spring.
