Off-Duty Elizabeth Cop Injured In Collision

ELIZABETH – An off-duty Elizabeth police officer who was riding a bicycle was injured Wednesday when he was struck by a tractor-trailer truck, according to a Star-Ledger report.

Jorge Farinas, 30, was taken to University Hospital in Newark to be treated for broken ribs, a broken collar bone and a possible concussion, according to the report.
