Temple Presents Scholar-In-Residence Dec. 6 & 7

calendarMETUCHEN — Congregation Neve Shalom will present Scholar-In-Residence, Rabbi Burt Visotzky, professor at the Jewish Theological Seminary, on Friday evening, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7.

Visotzky’s topics will be: “Bible: The Word of God or Hand of Moses?” on Friday; “Scripture and It’s Interpretation: Continuing Revelation” on Saturday morning; and “The Sins of Sodom are Not What You Think: Text Study” on Saturday afternoon.

On Friday evening, there will be a dinner starting at 6:30 p.m., services at 7:30 p.m., and Rabbi Visotzky will speak at 8 p.m. Saturday services begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by a light kiddush lunch. You do not need to attend the meals to participate in the services or program.

Cost for the dinner is $18 per adult and $9 per child. You may bring our own wine. The deadline for dinner reservations is Nov. 26.
