EDISON — On Nov. 6, third grade students in Mrs. Tarello’s Gifted & Talented Program from Valley Road and Frank K. Hehnly School in Clark took a field trip to the Apple Store at the Menlo Park Mall. Three facilitators from the Apple Store taught the students how to use Keynote special features to enhance the digital books the students are creating in school. Then each student applied what they had learned from the presentation by creating their own short story using the new features on MacBooks. The third graders received Apple flash drive bracelets, t-shirts and certificates at the conclusion of the Apple workshop.
