CLARK — To help one another prepare for upcoming assessments, students in Denise Picciano’s eighth grade math class at Kumpf Middle School in Clark buddy up with partners to quiz each other on test-related material.
To help memorize all the properties of exponents, students alternate roles with their peers to help one another study. For example, one student asks a question, another student answers this question using the whiteboard at their table to show their work, and the third student in the group checks their work for accuracy. All students rotate positions so each has had a chance to develop a question, answer a question, and check their peer’s work.
