PERTH AMBOY – An administrative law judge denied Perth Amboy Superintendent of Schools Janine Caffrey’s request for emergency relief on Thursday, according to a MyCentralJersey.com report. The local school board had placed Caffrey on paid administrative leave last month for the third time during her three-year term.
Caffrey had been hired to bring reform to the school district but has battled with the school board for most of her term. Board members believe the conflicts have taken the district’s focus away from students.
