CRANFORD – Union County College is hosting an open house on Friday, Nov. 8, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the college’s Cranford campus at 1033 Springfield Avenue. The day will begin with a College Fair in the Victor M. Richel Student Commons where representatives from the college’s Associate degree programs, along with student organizations, will be available to share information and answer questions about their programs.
After the opening presentation at 10 a.m., breakout sessions will be held in which attendees will be able to learn more about the admissions process, financial aid options, choosing a major and one’s courses, and student life. The College Fair will be in session through 12:30 p.m., so in between sessions, potential students can visit the tables at the fair.
In addition to more than forty articulation agreements, Union County College also offers dual admissions agreements with Rutgers University, New Jersey City University, Kean University, Montclair State University, College of St. Elizabeth, NJIT, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Delaware State College, Delaware Valley College, and Georgian Court University. Through these arrangements, once all criteria are met, admission into a selected program is guaranteed upon graduation from the College with a full transfer of credits making a seamless transition. This eliminates anxiety and the application rush involved in applying to a four-year institution at which such an agreement does not exist.
