Meter Reader Injured When Stairs Collapsed At Elizabeth Store

ELIZABETH – A PSE&G worker attempting to read a meter at an Elizabeth convenience store was injured this morning when a set of stairs collapsed beneath him, according to a Star-Ledger report.

The worker, who fell about 8 feet into the basement of the Elizabeth Convenience Mart on Elizabeth Avenue, sustained injuries to his head, back and leg, according to the report. He was taken to Trinitas Hospital for treatment.
