OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAUNION COUNTY — The Linden/Roselle Community Development Center and the Penta Club of Star Bethlehem No. 26 is organizing a county-wide cell phone drive in support of the YWCA Union County’s shelter initiative Project Protect for domestic violence survivors.

A donation box collecting old cell phones is now located at Linden police headquarters. The old cell phones can be used by domestic violence victims to call 9-1-1. “Smart” phones are also accepted and will be used for cash donations to the battered women’s shelter. Cell phones with missing accessories (charger, battery) will also be accepted.
