Man Robs Linden Gas Station Attendant At Gunpoint

police-tapeLINDEN — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a St. Georges Avenue gas station early Sunday morning.

A 73-year-old attendant at the BP station on the 1800 block of East St. Georges Avenue told police that he was robbed at gunpoint shortly after 5 a.m. on Nov. 3. A man, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, who was wearing a black mask, black jacket and blue jeans, knocked on the booth door and pointed a handgun at the attendant when he opened it. The robber demanded money in Spanish, and took $200 from the attendant. A second suspect, described as a black man approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall, entered the booth and stole several packages of cigarettes and cigars.

Both men ran across East St. Georges Avenue into Roselle, towards Warinanco Park.
