“Bubble Boy” Begins Run At Hamilton Stage Wednesday

bubble-boyRAHWAY — American Theater Group’s (ATG) production of the new musical comedy, Bubble Boy opens Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Union County Performing Arts Center’s Hamilton Stage and continues through Nov. 24.

The world premiere production, written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio,  tells the story of Jimmy Livingston, a boy who is forced to live hermetically sealed in a plastic room to keep him safe from germs. When the girl of his dreams leaves for Niagara Falls to marry another, he creates a mobile bubble suit and races across the country to win her heart. Along the way he meets a softhearted motorcycle gang, a wacky cult, and a flying cow.

ATG’s Artistic Advisor Stephen Schwartz says, “Bubble Boy is one of the cleverest, funniest, and most endearing musicals I’ve seen in a long time.”

Tickets are $30 for Wednesday/Thursday performances and $35 for Friday/Saturday/Sunday shows. Visit www.ucpac.org or call the Union County Performing Arts Center box office at 732-499-8226 for show times and to purchase tickets.
