PERTH AMBOY – Police arrested a 31-year-old city man on Saturday who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend in a domestic dispute.

Jose A. Rodriguez was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a weapon, and Judge Emery Z. Toth set bail at $250,000.

Police were dispatched to the 500 block of High Street at 2:27 p.m. on Oct. 26 to investigate a reported stabbing. Officer Stephen Petrosino arrested Rodriguez, who was carrying a baby as he walked away from the domestic dispute, according to police.
