STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – An Elizabeth man admitted tricking Staten Island senior citizens into letting him into their homes and stealing cash and jewelry while an accomplice distracted them, according to a Staten Island Advance report.
Danny Ely faces up to four years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of attempted second-degree burglary, according to the report. The plea agreement calls for three years in prison and one and a half to three years of post-release supervision.
