CLARK – The Kumpf Cougars boy’s soccer team had expectations of winning six to at most eight games for the season but ended the year with ten wins, one loss and two ties. This is the first time the boys have had a record of at least 10 wins and one loss in over 12 years.

In his second year as head coach, Coach Caleb Bain credits the outstanding season to hard work, dedication and teamwork. The team was made up of 12 eighth graders and 12 seventh graders in which 10 eight graders started for the Kumpf Cougars. The Cougars were led by forward Greg Zukowski, who scored 19 goals in just 13 games, midfielder George Visconti and stopper Zachary Thornton.
