ELIZABETH — St. Mary of the Assumption High School junior Maria Sarrazola was selected to be mentored by Villanova University alumni, Terry O’Toole and his wife Paula (Polly), with the promise of a full Villanova scholarship upon graduation from St. Mary’s.

The O’Toole’s, New Jersey residents, made a substantial donation to the University. With their gift, they plan to mentor two high school students a year who are recipients of the Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children. The ultimate goal is to have the mentored students attend Villanova on a full scholarship sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. O’Toole. There were eight finalists chosen from several schools in the Newark Archdiocese. St. Mary’s was the only school with two finalists.
