[PHOTO] Metuchen High School Welcomes New National Honor Society Members


METUCHEN — On Wednesday night, Oct. 23, under the guidance of their adviser Kerry Blaze,  the Metuchen High School chapter of the National Honor Society welcomed 79 new members. Mr Peragallo opened the program and focused on service as he read a list of impressive accomplishments of this year’s inductees.  Mr. Caputo mentioned all four of the required NHS requirements and emphasized the importance of character. Student speeches from current members followed:  Esther Kim (character). Pax Kaplan Sherman (scholarship), Joshua Hasler (leadership), and Devon Philbin (service).  Ms. LaFauci read the names of the inductees while Mr. Peragallo and Mr. Caputo distributed certificates and pins.
