Perth Amboy Police Arrest Alleged Heroin Dealers

police-tapePERTH AMBOY – Police arrested two men at a South Park Drive residence last month and recovered more than a half once of heroin as well as over $2,000 in cash, authorities said.

On Friday, Sept. 27, members of the Perth Amboy Police Department’s Special Investigations Bureau executed a Superior Court search warrant at a residence on the 500 block of South Park Drive.

Perth Amboy resident Justin C. Zduniak, 38, and Neil Deriggi, 34, of Metuchen were arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of over ½ ounce of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public housing complex, within 500 feet of a public park, within 1000 feet of a school zone and conspiracy to distribute heroin. Police recovered 419 decks of heroin as well as $1,774 in currency that was seized from Zduniak and $283 in currency that was seized from Deriggi.

Judge Maria Del Valle-Koch at $50,000 with no 10 percent option for Zduniak and $10,000 with no 10 percent option for Deriggi, with the requirement of a bail source hearing. Detective Mohamed Mohamed led the investigation.

The charges against the defendants are merely accusations; they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
