PERTH AMBOY — The students, parents and faculty at Perth Amboy Catholic School have been collecting new and gently used sneakers for their “We’ve Got Soul/Sole!” campaign for Make a Difference Day on Oct. 26. The shoes will be shipped to Haiti to the Felician Sisters and the Sisters of Charity and distributed to the people who have suffered from natural disasters. The campaign has been a great success and more than 200 pairs of sneakers have been collected. The organizer of the effort is Rose Pennyfeather, art teacher at Perth Amboy Catholic School, with the support of principals Sr. Rebecca Piatek and Sr. Beverly Policastro.
