Metuchen To Host Inaugural BeerFest Saturday

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMETUCHEN – The Borough Improvement League is planning its first BeerFest this Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Old Franklin Schoolhouse, 491 Middlesex Ave., from 2-6 p.m.

Tickets are $25, and grant attendees a five-ounce mug that can be used for unlimited samples of 20 different brews. Food will also be available for sale, and musical acts Seapost featuring Renee Maskin, the Ben Davis band, DJ Erik and the Roadside Graves’ Jeremy Benson and Co. are scheduled to perform.

Tickets are on sale at Hailey’s Harp and Pub and Marafiki Fair Trade. If any remain, tickets sold at the door will cost $30. Attendees must be 21 or older.
