Perth Amboy Police Arrest Burglary Suspects

police-tapePERTH AMBOY – City police arrested two brothers who allegedly committed a burglary on Watson Avenue early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Robert Garcia, 25, and Eric Garcia, 21, both of Perth Amboy, were charged with burglary. Municipal Court Judge Maria Del Valle Koch set bail at $25,000 with no 10 percent option.

Police were dispatched to Watson Avenue at 3:45 a.m. on Oct. 13 to investigate a report of a burglary in progress. They were able to get a description of both suspects and a short time later apprehended the two a few block away.

Franklin Hernandez was the Arresting Officer.

The charges against the suspects are merely accusations; they are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
