NJ Residents Compete In Chicago Marathon

STATE – Approximately 45,000 runners competed in the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, including more than 300 from New Jersey.

Dennis Kimetto of Kenya won the race, finishing with a time of two hours, three minutes and 45 seconds, a new course record.

Rita Jeptoo of Kenya was the women’s top finisher, with a time of two hours, 19 minutes and 57 seconds.

Union County residents who completed the race include Sarah Boak of Summit (4:12:45), Michael Cartwright of Plainfield (6:01:20), Chris Donohue of Summit (3:57:31), Jorge Lopes of Linden (2:56:53), Michael Murray of Westfield (6:02:39), Zeba Nayeem of Cranford (5:35:52), Randall Pereira of Summit (3:58:04), Christopher Pilla of Berkeley Heights (3:18:17), Marisa Taitague of Vauxhall (4:13:52), Scott White of Westfield (3:11:35), Carl Wingate of Fanwood (6:54:13), and Mary Wingate of Fanwood (3:43:47).

Middlesex County residents who finished the race include: Jerry Casarella of East Brunswick (3:55:13), David Castaldo of Cranbury (3:52:01), Cliff Collins of Piscataway (4:06:26); Yoav Efron of Summit (3:57:33), Andrew Gilpin of Plainsboro (3:29:01), Pamela Keppel of Dunellen (3:58:31), Vinay Kundir of Sayreville (3:40:24), Bruce Kuziola of Piscataway (5:06:43), Kate Lee of Woodbridge (4:11:36), Priyam Patel of Colonia (4:24:31), Teresa Russle of South Plainfield (4:58:59), and Stephen Skoczypiec of Carteret (4:20:12).
