NY Firefighter Killed In Union Motorcycle Collision

police-tapeUNION – A fatal collision early this morning left a motorcyclist dead and a driver arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence, according to a Star-Ledger report.

Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist was a member of the New York City Fire Department, but did not release his identity.

The motorcycle was traveling on North Avenue when it collided with a car at 5:30 a.m., according to the report.

North Avenue was closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation. Anyone with information that may help the investigation may call Union Township police at 908-851-5000.
