GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – An Edison woman could spend the rest of her life in prison if she is convicted of kidnapping a 3-year-old girl from a school bus in Michigan, according to an mlive.com report.
Marian Moussa is accused of misrepresenting herself as the mother of the special needs student. The bus driver didn’t recognize her, so he asked for identification and contacted the school to see if she was authorized to pick up the child, according to the report. A miscommunication resulted in approval being granted, the report said.
The girl was safely returned to her parents hours later.
