LINDEN – A 26-year-old Linden woman is accused of suffocating four American Bulldog puppies following an argument with her boyfriend, according to a MyCentralJersey.com report.
Kimberly R. Matthews denied responsibility for the animals’ deaths, according to the report, but was charged with four counts of animal cruelty. She faces a fine of between $500 and $2000 and up to six months in jail at the discretion of the judge on each count should she be found guilty.
The charges are merely accusations; Matthews is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
