Award-Winning Documentaries Series Continues At The Springfield Library

SPRINGFIELD—The Springfield Free Public Library will screen four more award-winning documentaries on alternate Wednesday evenings this fall.

The next film will be screened on Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. and is titled Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey (1993, rated PG, 83 minutes.) This documentary is about Leon Theremin, the inventor of the first electronic synthesizer instrument called the theremin, and his subsequent life after he was abducted by the KGB as well as a history of the instrument. Directed by Steven M. Martin.

The series continues with Grizzly Man on Oct. 23, Thunder Soul on Nov. 6 and Stories We Tell on Nov. 20.
