WOODBRIDGE – Take a 55-minute guided tour into the spirit-filled past of New Jersey’s oldest chartered settlement with the Woodbridge Ghost Walk, presented by the European School of Dance, on Saturdays Oct. 12 and 19.
Costumed guides will tell the stories of New Jersey’s first European settlers, Revolutionary War heroes, members of Victorian society and more. You’ll have the chance to meet the “spirits” of both famous and infamous local residents from the town’s past.
Tours will leave every 15 minutes between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. from Parker Press Park on Rahway Avenue. The cost is $5 per person, and children in strollers are free.
This year, there will be a new activity to herald the arrival of Halloween, the inaugural Vampire and Zombie Parade on Saturday, Oct. 12. There will be prizes for the best vampire and zombie family costumes.
The parade will begin from the Board of Education building at 5 p.m. and end at Parker Press Park. For more information, call 732-596-4048 or visit www.hauntedhistoryproductions.com
