WOODBRIDGE – The Sixth Annual BarronFest, a free-to-the-public fine arts and crafts festival, returns to Parker Press Park on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. It is one of three community events that will take place in Woodbridge Township this weekend.
More than 50 fine artists will have their work on display and many will be doing live demonstrations. There will be food and refreshments for sale, with proceeds benefiting the Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission.
Parker Press Park is located on Rahway Avenue, next to the Walgreens Pharmacy and directly across from Berkeley College. Parking will be available in the NJ Transit lot next to and behind Parker Press Park. For more information, call 732-634-0413.
Port Reading Community Day
Also on Saturday, Oct. 5, Port Reading will be celebrating Port Reading Community Day 2013 from 1-4 p.m. at Port Reading School #9, 77 Turner Street. There will be food, refreshments, entertainment, kids games, arts and crafts, and more. There is no admission charge, but people are asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket.
Colonia Pride Day Parade & Family Day
Sunday, Oct. 6, is Colonia Pride Day. The parade line up begins at noon at the Colonia Middle School, and the parade will get underway at 1:30 p.m., heading down Inman Avenue and ending up in Charlie Shaugnessy Park. Family Day and a barbecue hosted by the Colonia business community will follow the parade.
