Each year, students from Linden High School apply for a scholarship, founded by Linden Board of Education member Lisa Ormon and 4th ward Councilman Derek Armstead more than 12 years ago. The winners of the Armstead Scholarship Fund, Milena Drozd, Ashley Williams, Manessa Lormejuste and Perle Desir ,were honored at the July council meeting for their commitment to community service and academic excellence. Each recipient received a check for $500 to be used towards their college education.
