CLARK — The students in Meghan Bowers’ third grade music class at Frank K. Hehnly Elementary in Clark received their first musical instrument this week. Each student was given (and gets to keep) a recorder. They will learn various levels of music throughout their third grade career. To allow students time to play their recorder in class,  Bowers had students play along to the U.S. Navy’s song, “Anchors Aweigh” in honor of Commodore John Barry, whom the school is honoring this week.
