New York Man Charged With Selling Pirated DVDs

LINDEN – Police arrested a 34-year-old Whitestone, N.Y. man who was allegedly selling counterfeit DVDs at Nuno’s Pavilion on Roselle Street on Sunday afternoon.

Jin C. Gao was charged with a violation of the state’s anti-piracy act and released after posting $1,000 bail. Officers seized 492 counterfeit DVDs and $205 cash at the time of the arrest.

The charges against Gao are merely accusations; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
