CLARK — On Saturday, Oct. 26, The Polish Cultural Foundation will hold its 40th Annual Banquet in the Foundation Grand Hall, 177 Broadway, Clark. The event will begin at 7 p.m with a cash bar cocktail hour until 8 p.m. and dinner will be served at 8:30 p.m. Entertainment will be furnished by the Paradise Band and evening attire is recommended. Donation for the event is $65 per person and $50 per student.
Last year, The Board of Directors, Administration and the members of Polish Cultural Foundation in New Jersey selected Dagmara Wozniak, an American with Polish roots, a graduate of the Polish Supplementary School of the Polish Cultural Foundation and a beginning fencing student of Janusz Mlynek at this foundation, to be the recipient of PIAST AWARD, which is a symbol for the first Polish Dynasty and Polish identity.
This award is made by the Polish Cultural Foundation to acknowledge Polonians who excel in culture, sports, education, politics, business or the arts while increasing the prestige and knowledge of Polish Americans and our community, Poland and its culture.
Wozniak is being honored for her outstanding dedication and hard work to be selected as a member of the Olympic Fencing Team, representing United States in 2012 Summer Olympic in London, England.
