Dunk A Politician & Help South Amboy’s Library

SOUTH AMBOY — The popular “Dunk-A-Politician” fundraiser will return to the South Amboy Arts Festival and Street Fair on Sunday, Sept. 22. Proceeds will be used to purchase new computers for the library.

Festival-goers will be able to dunk notable city figures including former Mayor John O’Leary, City Councilman Mickey Gross, South Amboy High School teacher and coach Tony Gonsalves, South Amboy Y staff members Amanda Winant and James Schnell, and George Fuller, drum major for the Colonel D.B. Kelly Pipes & Drums of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

The festival will take place on Broadway from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and the dunk tank will be located at Broadway and David Street.

The dunk tank is sponsored by the Dowdell Library Foundation, with additional support provided by State Assemblyman John Wisniewski and Broadway Bagels.
