CLARK — There’s a new addition to the Clark Recreation Programs. For the first time, students in grades 4 through high school can learn the basics of the sport of fencing.

The program is run by the Advanced Fencing and Fitness Academy, taught by Clark’s own Aleks Ochoki, who won two NCAA national titles while attending Penn State University. Individuals will learn the basic positions, rules and techniques of the sport. No prior experience is required and equipment will be provided.

The session begins Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Rec Center. Registration forms are available there to sign up. The class runs on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and costs $99 for six weeks. For more information, call 732-388-3600 ext 3009.
