CLARK — The Skulski Art Gallery of the Polish Cultural Foundation in Clark will present Druch Studio Gallery Artists and Friends painting exhibition titled “Plein Air Painting…and More” from Sept. 13 to Oct. 4.
An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 13, from 8 – 10 p.m., to meet the artists and enjoy their works. The opening program will include a piano performance by the young pianist Robert Argasinski and poem recitation by actor Tadeusz Turkowski. The public is welcome, admission is free and refreshments will be served.
The largest group of paintings are works in oil, acrylic and pastel created during plein air sessions organized by Druch Studio Gallery between 2011 and 2013 in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The second group are portrait studies done in Druch Studio Gallery during three hour “Portrait Open Studio” workshops conducted every Friday at the gallery. And the third represented group are works completed at artists’ studios. All works are created in figurative style, born out of direct contact with the landscape or model and the artist, or as the consequence of the artist’s imagination.
“Plein Air Painting…and More” artists are: Anna Bis, Ryszard Druch, Kyle Hamilton, Yu-Ching Huang, Katarzyna Iwaniec, Jadwiga Jedrzejczyk, Justin Jedrzejczyk, Halina Nawrot, Maja Sidor, Jolanta Wolska, Ewa Zeller.
The Polish Cultural Foundation is located at 177 Broadway, Clark, New Jersey, just off Exit 135 from the Garden State Parkway.
