The Ingredients of Success
CLARK — Fresh from a summer off, students worked side by side to create yearlong goals using Frank K. Hehnly teacher Nina Sinicropi’s “Ingredients of Success.’’ These ingredients are intended to mirror Sinicropi’s ideal classroom values. Using these ingredients, the students created goals which should provide motivation throughout the school year. Their writing process included brainstorming, creating a rough copy, peer review, proofreading, and publication; writing skills which will be honed throughout the year.

Fifth Graders Warming-Up For Choir
The students in Meghan Bowers’ fifth grade music class at Frank K. Hehnly Elementary in Clark are learning new vocal warm-ups. During their first music class, each student threw a ball to a classmate. At this time, students practiced vocal sirens by following the ball’s path with their voice, first as a whole group and then with a partner. Students will continue to perform various vocal warm-ups throughout the year in preparation for their winter and spring concerts.
