Edison Recreation Announces Fall Classes & Activities

EDISON – The Recreation Department has announced its fall classes and activities for members of the Edison Teen Community Center and classes open to all Edison adults.

Teen activities include Pool/Billiards Instruction, Open Basketball, Drills & Skills Basketball, Volleyball, Watercolors & Acrylics, Drawing & Design, Chess Challenge and Creative Craft Design. To participate in these free activities, teens must be a member of the Teen Center and register for each class.

Teen Center membership is $10 and is valid from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Applications are available at either of the community centers. However, teens must mail or bring your application with the fee to the Edison Recreation Department, 100 Municipal Boulevard, Edison, NJ 08817.

Adult classes, including ceramics, watercolors & acrylics, and pool/billiards, will begin the week of Sept. 23 and run through the week of Nov. 22. Ongoing aerobics and yoga classes are also offered.

To participate in these classes, all adults must be registered prior to attending the class. Registration forms with fee must be brought or mailed to the Recreation Office, 100 Municipal Blvd., Edison, 08817.

The classes are free to Edison Seniors, age 65 and older, if they are registered with the Senior Citizen Office, 2963 Woodbridge Avenue, Edison. They must show their card to be given free membership.
